Snorkelling in the lagoon

Well, there's no beach on the ocean but the resort does have a lagoon.

It's open to the ocean with a shallow area at the entrance that dampens the waves.

Is that the right term? "Dampens?" It seems they're pretty damp already.

Off in the distance there you can see the tower in Xcaret park.

As fas as snorkelling in a lagoon goes, there's not much to see. So I just chased the fish for a couple of hours and spent the rest of the day drying in the sun.
